An Essential Skills Work Visa may be issued for 1 year, 3 years or 5 years, depending on how much you are paid in your job – lower-paid jobs mean a visa will be issued for 1 year while highly-paid jobs can mean a visa will be issued for up to 5 years.
You can renew an Essential Skills Work Visa multiple times. An Essential Skills Work Visa will allow you to work in a specific occupation, for the employer and in the location specified on your visa.
You can study for up to 3 months in any 12-month period with an Essential Skills Work Visa, or undertake any study you are required to do as part of your employment.
